September Tango by Scarlett Jade and Llerxt the 13th Review

My 5 star review for September Tango

September Tango
Loosely based on a true story.

The town of Major is nothing more than a major disappointment for Zoe Parker. She is living in a grey world after the death of her beloved Mama, and can’t seem to shake the growing depression that threatens to consume her. Things only get worse when she discovers her longtime boyfriend is banging every chick in town.
Her daddy is gone most nights, and all she can think about is the boy who really caught her eye in high school more than five years ago… The one with gorgeous dark skin and smoldering eyes… Too bad he was dating her best friend. Now she floats around, moving through the daily routine with small dreams about getting away from the small town, and finding a real man to claim her heart…

Staff Sergeant Calvin Hall of the US Army is finally putting his boots back on American soil for some R&R. It’s been five years since he joined the military, and he hasn’t looked back since. After dealing with his own troubling past, he wants to lay back and enjoy some time to put it all behind him. But fate has other plans for him… A beautiful woman snags his attention the first day in town and the pull between them is too strong to resist. The problem? She is his ex-girlfriend’s best friend, she is just as broken as he is, and he has a war he has to get back to in two weeks.

Who says a summer romance ever has to end? What if thousands of miles and a war separated you? Would you keep dancing? Or would it simply be… a September Tango?

My  5 star Review
This is truly a perfect contemporary romance. Zoe and Calvin's story made me laugh, it made me tear up at the end. Zoe was dealt a bad hand and Calvin is there to pick her up. Real life isn't always perfect and this book shows that. You have to survive the storm to find the rainbow. I won't post spoilers but this was very well written and the sex was steamy. But what I will go into is this book reminds me of a Nicholas Spark novel. The authors did a great job with the character voices. I could hear the different people talking in my head with their distinct accents and personalities. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great love story.

Interview with Author Nickie Seidler

Interview with author Nickie Seidler

Hi Nickie thank you so much for stopping by to chat with us!

1.)    You recently released your first book A Lucky Second Chance, tell us about it.
A Lucky Second Chance
A Lucky Second Chance is book that will keep you turning the pages. It touches on some strong subjects of abuse and love. So far it has 18 5 star reviews! I’m so proud of this book beyond words. I never thought I could finish this book and perfect to the vision I had but I did! I’m happy I’m getting so many people contact me and tell me that they loved it and it really was an emotional ride for them because it touched base close to home. I’m glad I can give people the positive outlook and encourage them to be strong. It’s a suspenseful romance you won’t want to miss!
2.)    If you weren’t writing what would you be doing with your life?
Honestly, I’d probably take up photography. I’ve always said for years and years that I should do it with my love for taking pictures. I hope to one day take a picture and use it for a cover of my book! It’s a far fetch idea though but its always in the back of my mind.
3.)    Hot alpha males love them or hate them?
I’m in between on this one. Yes, eye candy is great to look at but let’s be real here, not everyone marries the hottest guy on the planet. It’s what’s inside that counts and if they have the full package then that’s awesome too! My husband may not have a six pack but I love him to pieces and he’s my hot alpha male haha
4.)    Who are your top 5 favorite book couples in any order?
My all time favorite book is The Last Victim by Karen Robards. I was hooked instantly and can’t wait to read the second in the series. She’s a great writer and I hope to meet her some day!
Fifty Shades inspired me to write so I guess that needs to be on the list as well.
Loved Hunger Games
Now for some INDIE authors books I’ve read that I absolutely loved would be Taming the Bachelor, by MJ Carnal, Reaching out for you by S. Moose, Battlescars series by Sophie Monroe those are just a few believe me! I have lots of favorites!
5.)    One book you would love to see made into a movie?
Oh gosh I don’t even know! I’d probably have to say Taking Chances by Molly McAdams
6.)    Do you have a WIP (work in progress) that you would like to tell us about?
My current wip in progress is A Tattered Love! I can’t wait to share this book with everyone because it’s so different then ALSC! I’m in love with this book and the characters! Here’s the synopsis: Riley Miller wants nothing more than to leave her past behind and never speak of it again. The damage of what’s happened has made her build walls to keep people out. Starting over isn't easy. After a move to Cape Cod to escape the dark and haunting secrets, she meets Abby and Evan, who instantly become her best friends. Riley is shy and quiet, trying to break out of her shell with her friend’s help. Just when life settles into a comfortable routine, Riley meets Evan's friend Dustin and life as she knows it will never be the same.
Looking for love is the last thing on Dustin’s to do list, if it’s even on there at all. Living with some pretty big secrets of his own, Dustin tries to keep from getting in too deep with anyone. But, he finds himself drawn to the timid but stunning Riley. Can they accept the past and develop a relationship? Or will the skeletons in their closet keep them from ever moving on?

7.)    You are deserted on an island who is the one person you would want to be there with you?
My husband! For sure
8.)    And finally boxers or briefs, which is sexier?
I think briefs are sexier but I prefer boxer briefs haha

My Review of Sanguis City by Morgan Jane Mitchell

Sanguis City

Sanguis City (Sanguis City, #1)

Ever wonder what happens after the world ends?
Lilanoir Rue did. A mere by product of the destruction, she never knew what happened before hand either. Banished from the only place she called home, the Human Reservation, she wipes her tears and never looks back.
In a world gone dead, life has never been so good, for some. While others live in chaos, the chosen call Sanguis City home. The rich and powerful found a way to survive The End and to enjoy every minute of it, for eternity. On the brink of a gruesome death from starvation, disease or a hungry mutant, humans flock to sell their blood for peace.
The city of blood, made for and by vampires welcomes Noir, her kind are in high demand. Neither Human nor Vampire, Bleeders take care of the city in the daylight. Draining humans by day and dating Vampires at night leaves Noir little time to think about her past, or much else, until it finds her.
Three years in the city has earned her a promising career, future and love life. Noir's life is finally on the right track. But when Noir falls for her new Professor, an Authentic Vampire, she also falls into a web of nightmares. Unable to escape painful memories, she uncovers more than her own secrets. Some secrets just won't stay dead and others are bound to kill her before finals week.

My Review

Wow, sexy vampires galore! There is so much about this book that I loved, I don't even know where to start with this review. Holy hottness there are so many sexy men in this book! Who to choose, who's my favorite? There was something I loved about each character, so it is so so hard (pun intended) to choose just one. The sex in this book was fangfuckingtastic. And yeah I said fang, because the vampire sex has left me with a feeling of whoa! Move over Sookie Stackhouse and Eric Northman, and the rest of the True Blood gang. There is a new vampire series in town and I am getting on the bus to Sanguis City! This is a must read! This book releases soon and trust me when I say you don't want to miss it!
In the Sanguis City prequels I was introduced to Noir and her life before Sanguis City. Sanguis City takes place three years later and Noir has adjusted to the new life in a new city. But there is much that she has yet to discover in her three years. Did she pursue a relationship with Tombs? Did she ever find Crow, is he dead? What is the deal with Sander? These are questions that are answered and so much more. No I am not telling you, I don't want to be a spoil sport. So much happens in this book that has left me eagerly awaiting what Noir will face in the next book. And which hot piece of vampire will she be with???
Now getting back to sexy town. The men of Sanguis City Tombs, Aubrey, Sander, Quixon! And a few others. I know who my favorites are but I can't give it all away you will have to read to find out!

 5 fangfuckingtastic stars!

Interview with author Travis Casey

Interview with author Travis Casey

Hello Travis, thank you for stopping by and chatting with us!

Hi Glenna, thanks for asking me along and allowing me to share with your audience.

1.) You have published 2 books, Trouble Triangle and Oceans of Trouble. Tell us a bit about each story.
Trouble Triangle is set in the early 1980's and is the story of a young man who enlists in the Navy to avoid a jail sentence. His first duty station is Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where he is besotted with two very different women. He is trapped in to relationships with both of them, but for very different reasons.
Trouble Triangle (Tyler's Trouble Trilogy, #1)

Oceans of Trouble is the sequel, however the books were written to stand alone. In OOT, Tyler goes aboard his Navy ship traveling the Western Pacific. He's just looking for a good time, but what he doesn't count on is his Commanding officer out to hang him for an illicit sexual affair and a shipmate who takes an instant dislike to him and makes his life a misery.
Oceans of Trouble

2.) I see that you were in the Navy, has this influenced your writing? And if so, in what way?
I spent nine years in the Navy and had a great time. I first wrote my Naval memoirs. Then, a critique partner told me a few home truths and said "Not many people are going to be interested in the memoirs of a nobody." Well, I had too much good material to throw away. So, I invented the character, Tyler Chambers, and figured he'd be good for a trilogy. I won't say what's fiction, not because I don't want to say what's made up, but because I don't want to admit to what's true. 3.) Tell us something that you love about being a writer and something you dislike about it.
I love creating characters. They take on their own personality. I get great satisfaction knowing I breathed life into them. I'm not so keen on the self-promotion. No one else is going to do it for you, so you have to take the bull by the horns and be a bit pushy to get your name out there.
4.) Do you have a WIP (work in progress) that you want to share something about? (You can include a snippet if you like.)
Yes, I'm working on the finale of the trilogy. I've put Tyler through the ringer so far, so this one leans more toward the romance side. He's had a lot of disappointments so far. He likes his boss, a female officer, but a relationship with her would be against Navy regulations. They manage to get together while in Edinburgh, Scotland.
I took off down the street with Darcy chasing me. I weaved around pedestrians while she stayed in pursuit. I ran down for a block, crossed the street, and ran into the KFC. Darcy followed me in and I turned around and grabbed her. She stood in my embrace, face to face, a mere inch separating us from touching noses. Her jasmine scent wafted up my nose. I held her tight and didn't let her escape. "We can have thighs here…" I jerked my head toward the hotel "…or, somewhere else if you like." She stayed fixated on me for several seconds, her breathing ragged. She moved closer, pressing herself against me. Much longer in that position and she would have felt me growing hard against her. "We better have them here, don’t you think? We don’t want to get into trouble." I moved my head closer until I felt the static electricity from her lips. "I happen to like trouble," I whispered.
5.) What’s the strangest thing a character has said from any book you have read?
"No, I can't." To put it into context, it was a hot sex scene leading up to 'the moment.' The guy is fully aroused, and it was HIM who said no! Without a justifiable reason. I do think that sometimes female romance goes too far into fantasy. No guy is going to say 'no' at that point. Not in my books, anyway.
6.) Give us a one liner about your books to make us want to go read them right now.
Trouble Triangle - A story of love, lust and blackmail - but who's doing what to whom?
Oceans of Trouble - Going to sea is an escape from reality, unless reality comes with you.
7.) For fun if your series were to be made into a movie, movies, or a television series whom do you picture as Tyler?
A young Tom Cruise
8.) If you could spend the day with any author from any decade living or dead, who would you, pick and what would you talk about?
George Orwell. He had great insight as to how the governments of the future would act, and predicted it very accurately in my opinion. I'd like to know how he anticipated their intervention and invasion of privacy.
Author Bio
I was born and raised in Midwest America, then joined the Navy and went on world travels. I left the Navy in 1990 but traveling was well and truly in my blood by then. I've been to 45 States and 27 different countries. I settled in the South of England and 1992 and love it here. I began writing articles in 2006 on the website Helium.com I grew in confidence and wrote my memoirs in 2010, but then found a critiquing site which really helped me polish my work. A few blows to the ego, but it has been the most helpful thing I have done with regard to my writing. I plan to have my third novel out the winter of 2013, and will start immediately on the next one. I don't write a particular genre, but class myself as an author of light-hearted fiction.

Finding You S.K. Hartley Blog Tour

Finding You Synopsis
'I will always take care of you'

My pain started when I was just ten years old, it was the day my mom got that dreaded phone call. Life has never been the same....

'I will always protect you'

I am all kinds of broken....

I have known Logan White since forever, he is my brothers best friend and my secret protector. I used to have nightmares that drew me into a dark place and when the nightmares got too much Logan was by my side. I don't have nightmares anymore, but my life is centred around the tragedy of my past.

Logan is the definition of 'man whore', with girls lining around the block to drop their panties at the click of his fingers. But after an unexpected moment things change. Now Logan is somebody else; hot, sexy and so damn delicious and I want to know him. Desperately.

But then there is Angel Walker who is far from the angelic nature of his name, with eyes so hypnotic that I lose my inhabitations just staring into them. But he is a broken man who just screams sin. He doesn't want to protect me or care for me, He just wants me.

Do I want the man who can cut through all of my pain or the man who could cause me more?

Fists will fly, hearts will shatter and desire will be fueled.
